Harvested in the early spring as the loose leaves first unfurl after the winter months, once picked the leaves are steamed to stop the process of natural oxidisation. The Leaves are a Dark Vibrant Olive Green in Colour. A very fresh tasting tea with a lovely smooth character.
Brewing Guide: Using a teaspoon per person and one for the pot, add fresh water that has been cooled to approximately 80 - 85 degrees. Let the loose tea leaves infuse for 2 to 3 minutes. Care must be taken not to infuse with water that is too hot and not to over brew which can result in a bitter note.
How to Serve: Sencha Green Tea is best enjoyed as it is, without any additions.
