Brand: Save Some Green

This is the Kamenoko Tawashi, which roughly translates into: baby tortoise scrubber. Invented by Mr Seizaemon Nishio in 1907, they quickly became popular in Japan and found their way into many homes. Quite rightly too.

The Save Some Green Tawashi uses fibre from coconut palms to give a sustainable, biodegradable, super versatile brush. They are crafted in Sri Lanka.

You can use it to clean anything.

Being coconut fibre it isn't going to scratch your pans. It is fantastic for cleaning veg for your Sunday roast and for the washing up after the roast. For cool boxes after messy picnics, the bath, the sink and the plant pots in the garden. And the mud off the wellies. And so on and so on... The list is endless - Oh and Woks, cracking for cleaning Woks!

And it even has a nice little hanging ring!

When you finally defeat this resilient little brush, give it a befitting send off and put it in the compost. Next year it will be feeding your tomatoes...
